In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and 2 cups sugar until light. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add sour cream; mix well. Stir flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla into batter; set aside. Combine nuts, 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon; set aside. Pour half of batter into a greased and floured 10-inch fluted tube pan; sprinkle with half of nut mixture. Repeat with remaining batter and nut mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes or until done. Let cool slightly in pan; remove from pan and cool completely. Yield: 12 to 16 servings |
